Roman Kołtoń spoke strongly about Góralski and called him a parodist. – Should you give up football at this age because Wieczysta pays more? I would never suspect Góralski, who is such an ambitious boy on the pitch, that he would decide to make such a move – said the journalist in the “International Level” program on Meczyki.pl.

The interested person himself decided to refer to these words in an interview for WP SportoweFakty. – Journalist Roman Kołtoń’s opinion about me is pure nonsense. I could answer more strongly, but I will leave it as I summarized it on social media (“Roman, deal with the truth of football” – editor’s note) – he said.

Jacek Góralski: I received messages that I was “raged”

Jacek Góralski revealed that after the transfer to Wieczysta, he received about a hundred unfavorable messages on social media. – In a way that made me feel bad. I don’t like it when someone talks nonsense and doesn’t know what the situation looks like from the inside, he emphasized.

– Up to a certain point, everything in my career was going up. I played in the Ekstraklasa, went abroad, played for the national team, went to the World Cup in 2018, and joined the Bundesliga. But the first serious knee injury was a turning point, he confessed.

Jacek Góralski examined his conscience before the transfer

The midfielder noted that recent knee, eye, shoulder and muscle injuries, which cost him eight months of absence and missed Euro 2021 and the World Cup in Qatar, made him realize that the intensity at the highest level may be too much for him.

– I was honest with myself. I assessed the whole situation rationally and coolly. At the moment I am healthy, I feel very good, but I can’t turn back time. I pushed as hard as I could, I gritted my teeth despite the pain, but at some point my body says “enough” – he continued.

The midfielder revealed that, apart from Wieczysta, he had offers from Górnik Zabrze, Cracovia and Widzew. In addition, there was an inquiry in Turkey and he was on the list in Pogoń Szczecin, and he also had the option to return to Kairat Almaty. However, in each of these cases, various factors stood in the way, and the Krakow club gave him the longest contract – three years.
