Will WizzAir suspend several connections from Poland? These routes are to disappear
Wizz Air will ground 15 planes at the beginning of the year – the Fly4free portal reported unofficially. The airline plans to suspend some routes.
According to the website, Wizz Air plans to service American Pratt & Whitney engines. Airlines will probably ground 45 of their planes by the end of the first quarter of 2024. According to unofficial information, at the beginning of next year the Hungarian company will most likely take 1 machine each: from the Wrocław, Katowice, Warsaw, Gdańsk and Krakow bases.
There are also “cuts to be made in the winter flight network,” Fly4free reports. Numerous routes will be suspended between mid-January and mid-March. In some places, the frequency of flights will also be limited.
List of suspended flights
Between January 15 and March 15, it will not be possible to travel from Wrocław to Valencia and Malaga (Spain). Between January 16 and March 16, there will be no flights from Wrocław to Kutaisi (Georgia). Moreover, between January 14 (departure) and March 17 (return) we will not fly to the capital of Iceland.
Between January 14 and March 17, we will not fly from Gdańsk to Larnaca (Cyprus). We will not go to Kutaisi between January 13 and March 16. We also have to skip Leeds (England) – between March 12 (last flight) and March 18 (return).
Fly4free informs that the route from Warsaw to Agadir (Morocco) will also be canceled until March 15.
As for Krakow, we will not fly to Keflavik (Iceland) and Kutaisi – from January 13 to March 16, as well as to Valencia – from January 14 to March 17. However, from January 12 to March 18, we have to abandon our plans to travel to Catania (Italy). We will not go to Lyon (France) between January 15 and March 18. The same situation will probably also apply to the Krakow-Tel Aviv (Israel) connection.
In Katowice, on January 12, we will have the last opportunity to fly to Lee ds, and then the break will last until March 17 (the next flight – March 18). We will not go to Aqaba (Jordan) either – until the end of March.
