“Take part in the elections!!! Guided by the content of the positive opinion of the National Electoral Commission just received regarding the proposed date of elections to the Sejm and Senate, I decided to order these elections for October 15, 2023. The future of Poland is a matter for each of us! Use your rights!” the president tweeted.
A TVP journalist was spat on by a rally participant
The team of Polish Television appeared at the rally in Legionowo: journalist Adrian Borecki and a camera operator. Borecki tried to ask Tusk a question about the shocking statement by the chairman of the European People’s Party, Manfred Weber.
Unfortunately, an unfortunate incident then occurred. The aforementioned journalist was spat on by one of the rally participants.
“First, I was pushed away and pinned to the car, among other things. by Donald Tusk’s bodyguards. Then something happened to me that is absolutely unthinkable, something that should not happen in a civilized world. Namely, I was spat on by a supporter of Donald Tusk (…) How can you treat another person like that? Borecki commented.
“We were also hit on the head with a flag”
The event, including the image of the aggressor, was recorded by the TVP camera. Therefore, the journalist announced that he would file a police report.
He added that during the coverage of the rally in Legionowo, he and the cameraman were pushed and challenged. “We were hit on the head with the flag many times,” added Borecki.
