She wanted to end her career, maybe fight for a medal. Polish athlete in good shape
Maria Andrejczyk faced serious health problems. The javelin thrower is now recovering and wants to fight for an Olympic medal. My teammate has no doubts about his form.
Maria Andrejczyk entered the world of athletics by storm. The Pole won the Olympic vice-championship in 2021, which gave her career a strong boost. In the following years, she had to deal with injuries more than her rivals. It got to the point that the player born in Suwałki was considering ending her career. Still, she didn’t give up. She improved her health and entered the new year with a new coach.
Maria Andrejczyk is fighting to return to her old form
The Polish woman has a great desire to return to competition. Since the Tokyo Olympics, she has only appeared in one major event. However, she did not make it through the qualifying rounds during the world championships in Eugene. This does not change the fact that, according to people on the side, the Pole is currently in good shape, which can bring her another Olympic medal.
In an interview with TVP Sport, Marcin Krukowski, the leading Polish javelin thrower, revealed stories from the preparations for the season. He talked about his form and the development of javelin in India, where, thanks to Neeraj Chopra, the country became interested in the discipline. Krukowski also got a question about Andrejczyk. He gave an honest answer that his colleague was currently in good shape. He also added that he hopes that he will be able to do something more in the world competition.
Maria is in better and better shape and will throw far. The most important thing is not to lose enthusiasm. We’ve had a lot of injuries. We do not give up. “Majka” is approaching the world record. It’s obvious that she wants to go again. She felt she could achieve great results again. We will see her throwing distances of up to 70 meters. I didn’t say the last word myself, said Krukowski.
