There is a breakthrough regarding Wilfredo Leon's health. The Polish representative showed the recording

Wilfredo Leon returns to volleyball training. The Polish representative and his club Sir Susa Vim Perugia will post meaningful recordings on the Internet.

Let us remind you that Wilfredo Leon has not been seen as an active player since November last year. There was very disturbing information in the media, suggesting that the Polish representative would return to training only at the turn of February and March. However, as it turns out, the process of Leon’s return to the game has accelerated significantly.

Wilfredo Leon is back at Sir Susa Vim Perugia training

On Thursday (January 18), recordings appeared on social media showing the current stage of rehabilitation of the injured knee by the Polish national team player. It turns out that the player who received the MVP award in the final of last year’s European Championships, where the Poles defeated the Italians 3-0 in Rome, is working harder and harder. Importantly, not only in the gym, but also with the team on the pitch.

The account of the player himself, but also of the club from Perugia, clearly shows that Leon is getting back into shape and perhaps in the coming weeks you will be able to see the Polish player even in an official match, already on the pitch. This would be great news, although caution is certainly paramount when dealing with an injury as serious as the knee injury. Returning to the game too early may do more harm than good. And the most important prospect of 2024 seems to be the Olympic Games.

High-profile transfers of Polish volleyball representatives?

In the context of Leon, there was also a lot of talk due to the words of the interested player himself, who suggested that his time at the Perugia club was coming to an end. If transfer rumors are to be believed, Leon would go to the Japanese league next season. Some also claim that the Polish host does not rule out a move to… PlusLiga, specifically to Kędzierzyn-Koźle.

Interestingly, Aleksander Śliwka would go in the opposite direction. In the case of the captain of Grupa Azoty ZAKSA, Perugia or Piacenza are to be considered. The coming spring and summer are going to be very hot on the volleyball transfer market.
