In an interview for “Interia Sport”, Stefano Lavarini said that he had no problems with appointing a team of fourteen players who will represent our country during the upcoming tournament.

“Honestly, it wasn’t hard. We are a group of people who managed to get used to working together for two years. Even if a narrower team can participate in the tournament, the players who did not make it to it and continue to train. We are doing quite well, so I did not feel that the selection was a difficult task. Of course, I would like every player to be ready in terms of health, that’s what I always wish for girls. At the beginning of the preparations, we had to suffer from the absence of volleyball players who were not prepared.

In recent weeks, several Polish volleyball players faced health problems that excluded them from participating in the upcoming event. Nevertheless, all players are preparing for the game, even those who have not received a call-up. Above all, Stefano Lavarini wants his volleyball players to be in good health, and when asked what to wish them, he said that above all health and that they could play the best volleyball.

– Of course, I would like every player to be ready in terms of health, that’s what I always wish for girls. In terms of readiness to play in terms of fitting into our system of play and helping the team, I think all the players that are here are a perfect fit.”
