Łukasz Kaczmarek found a club
For some players, we already know their future. For example, Aleksander Śliwka was recently announced as the new signing of Suntory Subirds. Now the situation has also changed for Łukasz Kaczmarek.
Jastrzębski Węgiel announced on Tuesday, June 4, that the attacker of the Polish national team had signed a contract with the Polish champion. – The main aspect why I am coming to such a great club is that I will fight for the highest goals. I want this team to play at the highest level both in Poland and in Europe. What convinced me was the idea of building this team for the coming season and the fact that we would fight in every field for gold medals, the volleyball player said in the club's media.
Łukasz Kaczmarek: I hope that the successes will continue
Łukasz Kaczmarek spent six seasons in the colors of ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle and won two Polish championships, won the Polish Cup four times, the Super Cup three times and the Champions League trophy three times.
– During the six years I spent in Kędzierzyn-Koźle, practically all the finals I played, and certainly about 80-90 percent of them, were against Jastrzębski Węgiel. Every time I came here, there was a great atmosphere in Jastrzębie. I will be very pleased to be able to play in this hall. Last season, Jastrzębski Węgiel showed incredible form and achieved successes, which I hope will continue – adds the new Jastrzębski Węgiel attacker.
President of Jastrzębski Węgiel: The transfer is doubly valuable
The president of Jastrzębski Węgiel, Adam Gorol, also spoke about the transfer of the attacker. – The transfer of Łukasz Kaczmarek is doubly valuable to us. On the one hand, we are acquiring an extremely valuable player in the attacking position, and on the other, a Pole, which frees up our quota of foreigners in other positions – he admitted.
– In recent years, we have had very good success with players in this position and I am convinced that it will be the same with Łukasz. We are joined by a volleyball player with a recognized brand in PlusLiga, but also in Europe and at the national team level, who, in my opinion, is able to ensure our continued success at home and can add something more in the Champions League – he concluded.
