Piotr Lisek made a quick debut in MMA. He spent just over a minute in the octagon

Piotr Lisek took part in the world athletics championships in Budapest in August. His start in the capital of Hungary did not go well, as he did not advance to the final eight. After finishing the competition in the crown discipline, he surprised everyone by announcing he was joining the Fame MMA federation. He immediately mentioned that this was not a permanent decision, but an attempt to try a new challenge.

The 2017 world runner-up didn’t have to wait long for his debut. He performed during the Fame Friday Arena 2 gala, a new project of the famous federation, focused on organizing galas in smaller halls and on Fridays. Lisek’s premiere rival was Dariusz “Daro Lew” Kaźmierczuk, a controversial freak fighter known for his unusual behavior. During the weigh-in, he posed in a fox mask. Previously, he was able to, among others: dress up in a wrestler’s outfit, bringing the man in the mask to the ground floor.

The clash between the two men did not have much drama. Lisek needed 71 seconds to achieve his first victory in MMA. From the first bell he started attacking Kaźmierczuk, and after a while he stopped defending himself. He landed on the ground floor, where the athlete completed the formalities. The referee had to quickly stop the fight, giving the fighter from Szczecin an undisputed victory.

– Remember that there is still a very big fire in my heart towards professional sport. I want to do this for many years, but that doesn’t mean I won’t be with you, said Lisek right after the fight, quoted by sport.pl

Tomasz Adamek joins FAME MMA

The clash of the evening at the Fame Friday Arena 2 gala was the duel between Michał “Boxdel” Baron and Paweł “President of FEN” Jóźwiak. The first man won the fight in the second round by TKO. Moreover, a new player of the federation was presented at the gala. It is the legend of Polish boxing, Tomasz Adamek.
