Exact Systems Hemarpol Norwid Częstochowa volleyball players unexpectedly defeated Trefl Gdańsk 3-1 in Wednesday’s PlusLiga match. Dawid Dulski led the newcomer to the victory. The attacker was the best scorer in the match and won the MVP statuette.
During the national team season, it was possible to see how much potential Dawid Dulski has. The 210 cm tall attacker found a place in the wide squad of the White and Reds under the direction of coach Nikola Grbic. The Serb gave the volleyball player born in 2002 a chance to debut, for example in the Nations League.
Dawid Dulski with the MVP award, the newcomer made a surprise
In Wednesday’s PlusLiga match, the young attacker exceeded the ceiling of twenty points scored in a match for the seventh time this season. This time, the Exact Systems Hemarpol Norwid Częstochowa volleyball players defeated Trefl Gdańsk in four sets. The favorites of the duel were the players from Gdańsk, who played, among others, for a place in the final tournament of the Polish Cup. However, it turned out that they could not find a solution against Dulski and his colleagues.
The newcomer’s attacker scored 25 points with an efficiency of 61%. With 33 offensive attempts, that’s a really solid result. The Częstochowa team won their fifth victory of the season and after fourteen matches they have seventeen points. Dulski was awarded the MVP statuette of the match. Let us add that the young attacker is on loan to a club from Częstochowa from Warta Zawiercie. Thanks to this, he can regularly gain experience on the PlusLiga court in the ranks of coach Leszek Hudziak’s team.
Fierce fight for a place in the Tauron Polish Cup finals
The ongoing fourteenth round and the weekend’s fifteenth round will decide which teams will find a place in the final tournament for the national cup. The battle for the Tauron Polish Cup is scheduled in Krakow in the first days of March (2-3/03), but the game for the right to participate in this event is getting more and more intense.
The volleyball players of Projekt Warszawa, Jastrzębski Węgiel, Asseco Resovia Rzeszów and Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie are confident of fighting in the final tournament. There are still two positions to be filled, and there are quite a few applicants. Apart from Trefl, we are talking about volleyball players from PSG Stal Nysa, Bogdanka LUK Lublin, Indykpol AZS Olsztyn and Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle.
The latter won the PP last season. However, to be able to defend the trophy, they must jump into the top six of PlusLiga at the halfway point of the regular phase.
