Pawłowska for Kamiński in the Sejm? Hołownia: The formal path has been completed
Szymon Hołownia reported on the conversation he had with Monika Pawłowska. – The MP personally delivered a letter to me in which she informed me of her consent to take up a parliamentary mandate – said the Marshal of the Sejm.
At a press conference, Szymon Hołownia announced that a two-day session of the Sejm would begin tomorrow. The Speaker of the lower house of the Polish Parliament indicated what topics the MPs would deal with. These will include, among others: the government’s act on the National Oncology Network, information on the activities of the National Council of the Judiciary, as well as a debate on the vote of no confidence in the Minister of Justice, Adam Bodnar.
Monika Pawłowska took over the mandate from Mariusz Kamiński. Hołownia comments
The Marshal of the Sejm also announced that he had met Monika Pawłowska and confirmed behind-the-scenes speculations that she would take over the mandate after Mariusz Kamiński.
– The MP personally delivered a letter to me in which she informed me of her consent to take up a parliamentary mandate. We checked everything formally. I issued a decision on Monika Pawłowska joining the vacant parliamentary seat. I have already sent the decision for publication in Monitor Polski. I assume that it has probably already been published, so the entire formal process has been completed – summed up Szymon Hołownia. – We agreed with the MP that she will decide, because it is a logistical issue, whether she will take the oath at this session of the Sejm, it will certainly not take place tomorrow or at the next one – he pointed out.
Szymon Hołownia also informed that the topic of Monika Pawłowska’s work prospects in the Sejm was also discussed. – Because when an MP comes to work, he wants to work in committees, he wants to be useful. This is natural and normal, so we will probably have another conversation on this subject when the MP actually becomes a permanent member of the Sejm, announced the Marshal of the Sejm.
Even before Szymon Hołownia’s conference, Rafał Bochenek spoke and commented on Monika Pawłowska’s decision in the context of taking over the mandate after Mariusz Kamiński. “Ms. Monika Pawłowska accepted the 461st illegal mandate – a mandate that de facto and de jure does not exist (see Article 96 of the Constitution). Due to the above, as PiS we cannot accept her into our parliamentary club,” wrote the PiS spokesman. Both Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik claim that they are MPs and will perform the duties arising from their mandates.
