Paralives is a game that wants to compete with The Sims.  The new trailer is impressive

Paralives is a computer game that offers gameplay similar to the best-selling The Sims series. Its premiere will take place next year, and the creators have just shown a new gameplay trailer.

The creators’ ambition Paralives is a reference to the success of a series of computer games titled The Sims, which has sold over 200 million copies worldwide. The first part of the popular Sims was released in 2000, but its popularity continues to this day, because the latest installment of the series, The Sims 4, along with many expansion packs, enjoys multi-million interest.

Returning to Paralives, the game’s creators decided to remind themselves by publishing a new trailer for their production. The video material is over seven minutes long and you can see fragments of gameplay from the game, which, with the right advertising campaign, can become very popular among players. However, this will not happen earlier than 2025, because only then will Paralives debut in early access on Steam.

It must be admitted that Paralives looks very impressive already at this stage of production. You may like the much more modern – than in the case of the slightly outdated game The Sims 4 – cartoon-style graphics, which are made using cel-shading technology. This is a type of image rendering technique that makes computer-generated graphics appear as if they were hand-drawn.

How Paralives was born

Paralives would not have had a chance to be created if not for the decision of one person. The main creator, a certain Alex Massé, decided in 2019 to launch a collection to finance his idea for a game that would be a life simulator in the style of The Sims. The gaming community became interested in the project and decided to spend money on its implementation. The game is being developed without the support of large publishing houses and wealthy investors, but many independent productions have already shown that there is still a lot of room for them in the gaming industry.
