LOT moved the route from Radom to Chopin Airport. Cruises from October

The Warsaw airport will gain new routes in autumn 2023. One of them will be moved to the capital airport from Warsaw-Radom. We will fly to the Eternal City.

Already at the end of October, the Greek Sky Express line started flights from Chopin Airport to Athens, and on October 31, regular connections from the capital port to Agadir will start. The Moroccan city located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean will be a winter destination for sun-seeking tourists. The news doesn’t stop there. It turns out that one of the flights from the Warsaw-Radom airport will also be moved here. From Chopin we will also fly to the Eternal City.

New connection from Chopin Airport

From Chopin Airport, passengers in autumn and winter will also be able to travel to Rome-Fiumicino. The first cruise between the two facilities took place on October 30, 2023. Flights between Warsaw and the Eternal City will depart from here every day.

– Rome is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, eagerly visited by Poles and achieving high positions in tourism industry rankings. It is worth going to the Eternal City both for a weekend and a longer stay, which is why we invite you every day to board our modern Boeing 737 MAX 8 plane – said Michał Fijoł, president of the management board of LOT Polish Airlines.

The first Boeing 737 MAX 8 to the Eternal City took off from Okęcie on October 30 at 7:15. Morning flights will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. At 4:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The journey to Rome will take 2 hours and 10 minutes. Return flights from the Italian capital are scheduled from Tuesday to Sunday at 7:40 p.m. local time and on Mondays and Thursdays (from November 16) at 10:25 a.m. Next year’s season, PLL LOT planes will fly from Okęcie to the capital of Italy also from Monday to Sunday, but with greater frequency – both morning and afternoon flights.

– I am glad that we can welcome LOT’s new route to the Rome airport just a few months after launching the connection from the airport in Radom – said Federico Scriboni, director of aviation business development at Rome-Fiumicino Airport. The Rome-Warsaw route has always been a key connection for relations between our countries, facilitating diplomatic and trade exchanges, as well as the development of tourism. The new connection will improve connectivity between two cities so rich in history, art and culture, providing access to an extensive network of connections to many domestic and international ports, Scriboni added.

The cruise was moved from the Warsaw-Radom port

Due to the launch of the Warsaw-Rome connection in the winter season, LOT Polish Airlines decided to move Thursday flights from Radom to the capital airport. Tuesday and Saturday cruises will take place according to the planned schedule.
