Jean Patry joined the Jastrzębski Węgiel team before the 2023/2024 season. He replaced his compatriot – Stephen Boyer, who decided to leave for Asseco Resovia Rzeszów. The French attacker immediately became the main attacker of the Polish champions and has so far played in 23 PlusLiga matches, in which he scored 292 points.

As it turns out, the French attacker will leave the club and Poland. – I really wanted to stay in Jastrzębie-Zdrój, but I won't. I'm a bit disappointed. How could I not be? It's a great club. The league is well organized. Her level is high, the fans are great. Everything is very professional in my eyes, from my club to the league, he admitted.
– I'm sad, but I will play in another country. Who knows, maybe one day I will be able to return to Poland and PlusLiga – he added in an interview with siatka.org.

Jean Patry is the main attacker of the French national team. In 2021 in Tokyo, he won Olympic gold, for which he was awarded the National Order of the Legion of Honor. A year later, he won the Nations League with the national team and was chosen the best attacker in the final tournament.
In his professional career so far, he represented Montpellier UC, from where he moved to Top Volley Cisterna. He then played for three years in the Power Volley Milano club, where he won the Challenge Cup in 2021. Before the current campaign, he joined Jastrzębski Węgiel. In the 2024/25 season, Jean Patry will play in the Turkish league, in the Fenerbahce Istanbul team.
