He created ChatGPT and lost his job. OpenAI fires its CEO
A shock in the world of modern technology. One of the most famous names in recent months is losing his job. The founder of OpenAI and creator of ChatGPT has been fired.
No one on the market expected such a development of the situation. The company behind the huge success of ChatGPT and the development of artificial intelligence chatbots has just fired its CEO.
ChatGPT and Bard rocked the market
The fascination with chatbots based on artificial intelligence that has prevailed over the last few months has faded slightly. The first dust caused by ChatGPT and Google Bard has settled, and users have become accustomed to the fact that these types of tools will stay with us for a long time. It turned out that they neither revolutionized the market nor put specialists out of work, as many people predicted. However, they have a huge impact on what many professions will look like.
The creator of the first one to shake up the market, ChatGPT, is Sam Altman. The millionaire co-founder of OpenAI is known on the market, among others. from joint ventures with the richest man in the world – Elon Musk, and also from the fact that the men do not particularly like each other, which they can show in their not very polite exchanges on the X website.
Sam Altman leaves OpenAI
On the evening of Friday November 17, OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, announced that Sam Altman will no longer be its president. The information that was shocking to the market had an even more shocking justification. In a statement issued by the company, we read that “the separation from Mr. Altman follows a detailed process review by the supervisory board, which revealed that he was not candid in his communications with the supervisory board.”
Members of OpenAI’s supervisory board also admitted in a statement that due to the results of the audit, the board is no longer confident in Sam Altman’s ability to continue to lead the company. Technology director Mira Murati became acting president. She will hold this position until the new president is officially elected.
