Chopin Airport reminds us of the observation deck. You can enter completely free of charge
Chopin Airport boasts an observation deck, which was created especially for travelers. While waiting for a flight or for guests to arrive, you can look upstairs.
Observation towers and terraces are popular in various parts of the world. Some of them are completely free to enter, while others require an entry fee. Tourists are often unaware of the existence of such points or simply do not appreciate them. Unique and free options include: in Paris at the Lafayette Gallery or on the roof of the Institute du Monde Arabe. Poland also has a lot to offer in this respect. An interesting facility awaits us, among others: at Chopin Airport.
Observation terrace at Chopin Airport. It's worth visiting here
“We invite you to visit our observation deck. Admission is free and the views are priceless!” – this message can be seen in one of the latest Facebook posts on the “Chopin Airport” website. “There is also a shop and a cafe there,” additional Internet users informed. It turns out that not everyone still knows that there is an interesting and completely free attraction waiting for us in the Warsaw port.
The observation deck at Chopin Airport is open every day from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. It is a fully glazed and roofed facility, and it was put into use quite a long time ago, when one of the parts of the terminal was modernized. At the top you can not only admire beautiful views and drink coffee, but also work and use free Wi-Fi. An additional attraction is a monitor on which a radar image is displayed, showing planes taking off and landing in the port.
Access to the terrace at Chopin Airport. It's easy to get there
Finding the observation deck at Chopin Airport should not be a problem, although if we are there for the first time, we may need a little support. In the previously mentioned Facebook post, representatives of the facility shared a special map on Google. It shows that the terrace is located at ul. Żwirki i Wigury 1 on the same side as the Customs Office and the Furore! restaurant. The entrance to the place is located from the stairs leading to the railway station – from the platform you have to go straight and then climb up the first stairs.
People who had already had the opportunity to see the terrace eagerly shared their impressions on Facebook. “Cool!” – it was written. “It happened more than once,” it was added. Many people did not hide their surprise that such a place existed, some asked about details, including: with taking photos or parking. Regardless of whether you have already been there or not, it is definitely a place worth visiting, especially if you are passionate about planes and traveling.
