Big money is waiting for Raków Częstochowa. That’s how much he can earn in European cups
The opportunity to play in European cups is of course a prestige in itself, but also an opportunity to earn a lot of money. We know what amounts Raków Częstochowa can collect in the qualifications – we present different variants.
Soon Raków Częstochowa will play its next match in the qualifications of European cups, and will face Aris Limassol. Medals are on their way to passing the third round and advancing to the final one, where a win already guarantees participation in the group stage of the Champions League. However, regardless of how the fate of the Polish champions will be resolved, they will be able to count on considerable financial rewards.
How much can Rakow Czestochowa earn in European cups?
For the time being, Dawid Szwarga’s players naturally focus on the already mentioned meeting with the Cypriots, with whom they are modestly leading in the aggregate for the time being. In the first clash, the result was 2:1 for Raków, and the goals were scored by Władysław Koczerhin and Fabian Piasecki. Mihlali Mayambela scored for Aris at the very end.
A draw will therefore be enough to advance to the next round, and this will mean a minimum play in the group stage of the Europa League. If this scenario materializes, the Polish champions could count on receiving EUR 3.63 million from UEFA, i.e. over PLN 16 million. It would certainly be a serious injection of cash for the residents of Częstochowa, who invested a lot in strengthening in the summer.
Raków Częstochowa can break the bank
The maximum plan, however, is to get into the Champions League group. If this dream came true, Raków would literally break the bank. Everyone who registers in this phase of the competition will receive as much as EUR 15.64 million, or about PLN 70 million. However, in order to advance to the Champions League group, they will have to beat a really tough opponent in the last qualifying round. There, Medaliki will certainly not be favourites, which paradoxically may help them.
In the worst case, however, Raków will lose both to Aris and in the play-offs for the Europa League. Then in the autumn he will compete in the Conference League, i.e. the third international competition on the Old Continent. Naturally, their participants can count on the lowest gratifications. Entering the group stage would mean that Medaliki would earn EUR 2.94 million, or just over PLN 13 million.
