Stoch is not thinking about jumping. A surprising voice from PZN

Kamil Stoch and his team finished the World Cup season. According to Kamil Stoch, the three-time Olympic champion does not want to think about jumping right now.

Kamil Stoch will not count the 2023/2024 World Cup season as a success. One of the most famous winter athletes in Polish history failed in the competition, just like most of Thomas Thurnbichler's team. The only exception was Aleksander Zniszczoł, who, despite the worst seasons of his teammates, recorded the best result of his career.

Kamil Stoch doesn't want to think about jumping

The Polish ski jumper, like the rest of the team, is taking advantage of the leave he received after returning from Planica. He quickly took a well-deserved rest, clearing his mind from skiing matters. As Adam Małysz said in an interview with Polsat Sport, Stoch does not even want to think about jumping right now. He prefers peace and mental preparation for subsequent struggles. The president of the Polish Ski Association added that the 36-year-old still wants to jump, so he will not end his career yet.

— We agreed that when he is ready after the holidays, he will come and we will talk about how we start the next season. For now, he doesn't even want to think about jumping, he wants to calm down and forget about this season. However, he wants to train and compete further. Only on looser terms, with more freedom, Małysz said.

Changes needed in the training of Thurnbichler's team

Adam Małysz previously confirmed that Thomas Thurnbichler will remain as coach of the Polish national A team. However, he added that changes will be needed to return the players, especially veterans (Kamil Stoch, Piotr Żyła, Dawid Kubacki) to the form they showed in previous seasons .

Aleksander Zniszczoł's best result in the completed World Cup was 19th. Kamil Stoch took 26th place, finishing just behind Piotr Żyła.
