Apartment prices go up significantly. One voivodeship is breaking away
In the last quarter of 2023, prices of residential premises increased by 4.8%. compared to the previous quarter – according to the Central Statistical Office data. Only one region recorded a decline in housing prices.
Data presented today by the Central Statistical Office shows that in the fourth quarter of last year the prices of residential premises increased by 13%. compared to the same period in 2022. On the primary market there was an increase of 14.3%, while on the secondary market it was 11.6%. On a quarterly basis, we saw an increase of almost 5%. In this case, the greater increase also concerned the primary market.
– In the 4th quarter of 2023, the prices of residential premises in Poland increased by 4.8% compared to the 3rd quarter of 2023. On the primary market, this increase amounted to 6.3%, while on the secondary market – 3.3%. Compared to the same period in 2022, prices of residential premises increased by 13.0% (including on the primary market by 14.3%, and on the secondary market by 11.6%) – we read in the announcement of the Central Statistical Office.

The Central Statistical Office points out that in the last quarter of last year the prices of residential premises were 91.7 percent higher. higher compared to the average price for 2015 (by 80.6% on the primary market and 100.5% on the secondary market).
In the fourth quarter of last year, the largest increase in prices of residential premises compared to the previous quarter was recorded in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship (by 7.9%), as well as in Podlasie and Podkarpacie (by 7% and 6.7%, respectively). A drop in prices was observed in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship (by 0.4%). In annual terms, Małopolska also led the way (an increase of 18.6%), followed by the Lower Silesian Voivodeship (an increase of 18.3%) and the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship (an increase of 17%). The smallest increase was recorded in the West Pomeranian region (by 1.2%).
When calculating the price indices of residential premises for last year, the primary market is given a weight of 51.8% and the secondary market – 48.2%.
