Do Poles support the farmers' protest? Surprising survey results
Over 40 percent respondents in the survey for Indicator support the farmers' protest. They also negatively assess the impact of the Green Deal on the economy. The surveyed Poles believe that the politicians of the ruling coalition are supporters of the Green Deal.
After the wave of protests that swept across Poland, the mood of Poles towards farmers has not changed. Over 40 percent respondents in the Indicator survey still support the farmers' protest. 48.6 percent believes that agriculture will suffer the most from the introduction of the Green Deal.
42.1 percent respondents believe that the introduction of the Green Deal will have a negative impact on the economy of Central and Eastern European countries. 16 percent believes that it will have a positive impact on the economy of Western European countries.
Only 6.3% of respondents assess the impact of the program on the Polish economy very positively. respondents, rather positively 18.5%, very negatively 22.2%, rather negatively 21.7%.
Indicator also asked who Poles perceive as supporters of the Green Deal. And although it was adopted during the rule of the United Right, politicians of this camp are not perceived as its supporters. 29.7 percent respondents consider PiS politicians to be strong opponents of the Green Deal. 13 percent for strong supporters and the same number for moderate supporters. In the case of KO politicians, only 6.2% consider them to be strong opponents.
7.8% of respondents consider the remaining politicians of the ruling coalition to be strong opponents of the Green Deal. 31.6% of people consider KO politicians to be moderate supporters of the Green Deal. In the case of other politicians from the ruling coalition, it is 31.1 percent.
The survey was conducted by CBM Indicator using the CAWI method on March 1-6, 2024 on a representative sample of adult residents of Poland numbering N = 1,001 people.
