Will one app solve our health problems? The psychologist proposes an unusual solution

It's easier to open up to an application than to a person we don't know, or even a specialist, because this is where we start thinking about “how I will be assessed, who will think something, or maybe it's stupid.” And the application, an innocent tool, can make us get to the point very quickly – said Ada Jakimowicz, psychotherapist, psychologist, personal trainer, creator of WOO, an application that is intended to support psychophysical health, in the “Wprost Opnie” podcast.

Paulina Socha-Jakubowska, “Wprost”: You invented an application that is supposed to support our mental, but also physical health. It is supposed to be the answer to what hurts us, what bothers us, a companion at all times of the day and night…

Ada Jakimowicz: While working, I noticed that apart from wanting the body to be fit, a person needs something more – understanding. So I need tools. That's how psychology appeared, then psychotherapy (…), then I started building a group of people who cooperated with me and already then I could look at people more holistically.

(…) After some time, I thought: “What if we combined it all?”
