“We have moved one step forward in terms of agriculture.” Tusk after his meeting with the Prime Minister of Ukraine
We are close to solutions so that transit through Poland does not disrupt the market, said Prime Minister Donald Tusk during a press conference after Polish-Ukrainian inter-ministerial consultations.
On Thursday, Polish-Ukrainian intergovernmental consultations were held in Warsaw under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. After the meeting, the prime ministers of both countries took part in a press conference. The head of the Polish government commented, among others: to the issue of agriculture, emphasizing that “we have moved a step forward”.

– We are close to solutions, this concerns the number of products that can flow to Poland. We are close to solutions so that transit through Poland does not disrupt the market – said Donald Tusk.
The Prime Minister announced that the problems of the transport industry were also discussed, emphasizing that the point is to ensure that “the operating possibilities for Polish and Ukrainian carriers are at the same level of requirements.”
In turn, the head of the Ukrainian government thanked Tusk Tusk for his hospitality and organization of the meeting, emphasizing that “Ukraine and Poland are strategic allies, we are grateful for their support during the period of Russian aggression.” – We have common values and a goal – a safe Europe, where Russian imperialism will be put to an end once and for all – Shmyhal said.
The Ukrainian Prime Minister admitted that “Ukraine has agreed to certain restrictions.” He also talked about several steps regarding economic issues. One of them is a draft agreement on the introduction of joint control at the border. – We are waiting for the EC's approval, I hope that we will sign the contract – said the head of the Ukrainian government.
Shmyhal also said that the Ukrainian side assumes that joint arms enterprises will be established in Poland and Ukraine as part of the “tank coalition”. – We want Poland to be present in the reconstruction of Ukraine – declared the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
