Train travel around Poland for PLN 1. Such opportunities because of the holidays
The winter holidays are in full swing. Although some have already finished it, others are still in the process of resting. Special promotions have been prepared for this occasion. Students can ride trains almost for free.
Does the slogan: “Train tickets for PLN 1” sound like a dream? Now it’s a reality and all thanks to a special holiday opportunity. The action concerns Małopolska, because that is where the winter holidays have started. Everything will last from February 10 to 25. Children and teenagers can travel throughout the voivodeship for PLN 1, and some connections are completely free.
Holiday tickets for PLN 1. Trains for children and teenagers
We will pay only one zloty for the train ride after using the so-called Małopolska holiday ticket. It was created for children and teenagers up to 18 years of age. It’s all about regional trains. The idea is the responsibility of the Marshal’s Office of the Małopolska Voivodeship, which decided to relieve the financial burden on Polish families. The action includes, among others: discourage traveling by car and encourage adults to travel with children.
The idea was commented on by the Deputy Marshal of Małopolska, Łukasz Smółka, who said: “The offer is available to all children. Children up to 4 years old will travel free of charge. Children aged 4 and up to the start of one-year kindergarten preparation will be able to use the ticket based on the parent/guardian’s declaration of the child’s age. However, children and adolescents from the beginning of kindergarten preparation until completion of secondary school will have to present a valid document entitling them to reduced travel.
There are also free train journeys. Who do they concern?
Only students will travel completely free of charge. They will take advantage of the offer if they receive a special ticket valid all day until 24 hours. It will entitle them to multiple journeys and transfers within the network of connections in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. Anyone can receive unlimited access to such trips. Koleje Mazowieckie, Polregio and Koleje Śląskie take part in the action – on the Katowice – Kraków and Katowice – Zakopane sections.
