New roads and highways in Poland. We know what was built in 2023 and what will be built this year
GDDKiA boasts that the network of modern roads is constantly being developed. It shows how many highways we currently have in Poland and informs about plans to give drivers new routes.
According to the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, the length of the expressway network in Poland will soon exceed 5,000 km. km. Advanced construction and design works are underway throughout the country, thanks to which further sections of expressways and motorways are handed over to drivers. Currently, the expressway network includes 1,810.8 km of motorways and 3,164.2 km of expressways.
This year, almost 300 km of expressway routes
Road builders have revealed their plans for this year. They want to provide drivers with another 260 km of new routes, including motorways and expressways. At the same time, they boast about what has already been put into use this year.

GDDKiA informs that 107 tasks with a length of 1393 km and a value of PLN 53.5 billion are currently being implemented. There are 20 tasks in the tender with a length of 287.8 km, and 179 (3,518.8 km) are being prepared.
Two important road construction programs
Road workers are implementing two programs under which the national road network is being expanded. These are the Government Program for the Construction of National Roads until 2030 (with a perspective until 2033) and the Program for the construction of 100 bypasses for 2020-2030. Investments from the first program include new tasks with a length of 2.6 thousand. km, while the continued tasks, started in the previous road program, have over 3.5 thousand km. km. Thanks to the second programme, 100 bypasses with a total length of over 800 km will be built all over Poland.

The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways informs that by 2030 the value of investments in road infrastructure in Poland will exceed PLN 294 billion.
