The Wkry Valley Park will be an ideal place for all lovers of adventure and active leisure. You will feel like you are in Masuria, although you will not have to go to north-eastern Poland.
The place in question is located near Pomiechówek, i.e. in the province. Masovian Voivodeship. Just drive about 40 km from the center of Warsaw to find yourself in the Wkra Valley Park. We're talking about less than an hour's drive by car – people living in the capital and looking for greater adventures can even opt for a bicycle – then the journey should take about 2.5 hours.
Wkra Valley Park. Interesting place in Poland
Many people have probably never heard of the Wkra Valley Park. This place delights not only with numerous attractions, but also with wonderful views. Although there is no point in looking for large lakes there, because we will only see the Wkra River, the general climate will make us feel there even like in Masuria.
The Wkra Valley Park is considered a unique place – at least in Masovia. In fact, it can also stand out from many such places in Poland. This is an area open and accessible to everyone. However, you have to pay to use some attractions. The entire complex is a forest and recreational area. The advantages of the river and the forest starting in the center of Pomiechówek are mainly used there. You certainly won't be bored there and you can spend at least one day of the May weekend or another weekend there in an interesting way. A place for rest, recreation and education was created on an area of 10 hectares. It is incorporated into the natural charming landscapes. The entire park was built of natural wooden materials.
Wkra Valley Park. Such attractions await there
In the Wkra Valley Park, visitors can enjoy, among others: attractions such as the possibility of taking part in a one-day kayaking trip along the Wkra River. It is quite wide and quiet, and around it you can admire beautiful views that have nothing to do with urban buildings. Along the way you pass meadows, a beach, cliffs and sand dunes. Additionally, tourists can use the nature trail, observation tower, rope park, Wiking playground, climbing wall and zip line.
Another local hit is the opportunity to take a walk in the treetops and relax on the beach by the promenade. Both groups of friends and families with children should have fun there. If you want to use attractions, it is worth checking in advance what opening hours they are and whether prior reservations are necessary.
Those interested in coming to the site can also take advantage of local workshops. Soon, activities related to the use of microscopes will be launched in the park shelter. Additionally, you will be able to listen to stories about birds, butterflies, trees and try handicrafts.
