In March, in the series “Polish science for the development of medicine and health of Poles”, we talked to scientists from the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw, who told us about the invention of new generation mRNA drugs and extremely interesting research on putting people into a controlled state of hibernation, thanks to which the risk of tissue and organ damage during surgery will be reduced. We wrote about the treatment of the most severe forms of atopic dermatitis – a clinical trial aimed at effectively treating this disease in the youngest children is still ongoing. Professor Anna Raciborska talked about the revolution in cancer treatment, which took place thanks to innovative therapies conducted as part of non-commercial clinical trials, and Professor Bożena Kamińska-Kaczmarek presented the results of research on glioma cells.
