Polish representative nominated by UEFA. He shined in the play-offs

Jakub Piotrowski was one of the most active Polish players during the EURO 2024 play-offs. His performance in the match against Estonia has just been nominated for the best goal of the competition.

Jakub Piotrowski is one of the figures who has been showing his good side since Michał Probierz took over the team. The coach does not hesitate to focus on the Ludogorets Razgrad player from the first minutes, and he repays him with good play. He contributed significantly to the victory over Estonia and also heavily bombarded the goal of the Welsh goalkeeper. If he maintains his current form, he should have no problems with being called up for EURO 2024.

The goal of the Polish representative nominated by UEFA

The Polish footballer left the training camp in a good mood after winning the play-off final on penalties. Additionally, UEFA also remembers the 26-year-old born in Toruń. Piotrowski, or more precisely his long shot from outside the penalty area in the 70th minute of the match against Estonia, was among the four goals nominated for the EURO 2024 play-off goal award organized by the European federation.

In addition to the White and Reds representative, the group also includes two goals by Albert Gudmundsson (a free kick against Israel and a goal against Ukraine) and Nico Williams. The Welshman received an honorable mention for his goal against Finland. Fans can take part in the voting. Those interested choose a goal on the official UEFA website.

Piotrowski could have also scored a second goal, which could probably be included in this group, but against Wales he lacked minimal accuracy. However, his long-range goals are no coincidence, because despite playing in midfield, he has already scored 15 goals in 40 games for his club.
