Most Poles believe that there should be a commission to investigate Russian influence in the country. A large number of respondents have no opinion on the matter.
A few days ago, Donald Tusk announced that the government commission investigating Russian and Belarusian influence in Poland will be headed by General Jarosław Stróżyk, head of the Military Counterintelligence Service. The ministers of interior affairs and administration, national defense, culture and national heritage, foreign affairs, state assets and digitalization are to present recommendations regarding the candidacies of other members. The head of the Polish government emphasized that the commission would not be a media spectacle.
– There will be no media hearings, there will be no media during the work of this committee, but we will systematically inform about the effects of the committee's work. We will have the first partial report in the summer, announced Donald Tusk. – I hope that by the end of the year most of the cases that have outraged public opinion in recent years and were related to sometimes even mysterious circumstances will have their description, not necessarily an explanation, because this is not an investigative commission, he concluded.

In the latest survey, conducted by SW Research for rp.pl, Poles were asked whether there should be a commission to investigate Russian influence in the country. 61.8 percent respondents answered affirmatively, 12.4 percent. – negatively, and 25.8 percent has no opinion on the matter.
– 2/3 of men and slightly less than 3 in 5 women (58%) believe that establishing a commission is right. The opinion that there should be a commission in Poland to investigate Russia's influence is expressed by nearly 7 out of 10 respondents (68%), who are over 50 years old and almost the same number earning between PLN 5,001 and PLN 7,000 net monthly (67%).
