Poland's missile defense. The US Department of State gave its approval

The US Department of State has given consent to the sale of air defense systems to Poland.

This agreement is crucial from the point of view of Poland’s anti-aircraft and anti-missile defense. The United States Department of State has approved the sale of military equipment worth $1.2 billion to Poland. It is also about the necessary logistics systems, reports Reuters.

“Good news from overseas. The US Department of State has authorized the sale of 4 reconnaissance aerostats to Poland. The negotiations will soon be completed and the contract signed. After the delivery of new systems to the Polish Army, sky monitoring will reach a completely new level,” wrote Paweł Bejda, Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Defense, on the X portal.

Pentagon: Greater contribution to NATO defense

The United States Department of Defense commented on the matter. The Pentagon’s announcement states, among other things, that allowing the sale of the latest military equipment to Poland will increase the defense capabilities of the entire NATO.

“The proposed sale will support the foreign policy and national security objectives of the United States by improving the security of a NATO ally that is a force for political stability and economic progress in Europe.” – we read in the Pentagon’s announcement. “The proposed sale will improve Poland’s ability to meet current and future threats from enemy air and ground weapons systems. This will also enable Poland to increase its contribution to future NATO operations. “Poland will have no difficulty accepting this equipment into its armed forces.” – also added in a statement from the US Department of Defense.
