Polish jumpers have completed two Raw Air competitions. On Friday, the series began with a prologue. The first individual competition took place on Saturday. For now, the White and Reds are not in the top places, but we cannot lose hope for, for example, a single podium during one of the competitions.

Poles are far in the Raw Air classification

During Friday's prologue, the best result (among Poles) was Aleksander Zniszczoł, who finished the competition in 20th place. A day later, he performed below expectations. He realized it himself, not hiding his anger after taking 41st place in the competition. Failure to advance to the second series meant no points for the general World Cup classification (the 30-year-old had scored points in every competition so far this year), as well as serious losses in the Raw Air series classification.

On Saturday, the best White and Red team was Piotr Żyła. The jumper from Ustroń initially took 20th place, losing to, among others, Kamil Stoch. The three-time Olympic champion had a weak second jump, and Żyła did the opposite, ending the competition in 12th place.

General classification of the Raw Air series after Saturday's competition

Both in the general classification of the World Cup and the Raw Air series, the Austrians are at the top. In the Norwegian series of competitions, the winner of Friday's prologue, Daniel Huber, is leading (382.2 points), who is only 2.8 points ahead of the winner of Saturday's competition, Stefan Kraft. There are also two other Austrians in the top five – Jan Hoerl and Michael Hayboeck. The fourth place is shared by Johann Andre Forfang from Norway. The highest-ranked Pole with a score of 339.3 points is Piotr Żyła (15th place).
