Parents don’t wait. Applications were submitted for PLN 300 of school supplies for over 3.3 million children
Since July 1, when you can apply for PLN 300 of a school starter kit from the “Good Start” program, applications have been submitted for over 3.3 million children, the head of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg, told TVP Info. The benefit for over 2.4 million children has already been paid, she said.
The “Good Start” program, also known as 300 plus, was launched in the summer of 2018. Under the program, parents or guardians of a student can apply for funds in the amount of PLN 300 for a school starter kit:
-
up to 20 years old,
-
up to 24 years of age – in the case of a student with a disability.
Applications for 300+ can only be submitted online
Applications under the “Good Start” program for the upcoming school year can be submitted from July 1 to November 30, 2023.
In 2022, 4.4 million students could count on PLN 300 of a one-off social benefit.
As in the two previous years, applications for a “school starter kit” can only be submitted electronically via:
-
ZUS Electronic Services Platform (PUE) – each of the applicants,
-
electronic banking system – only the child’s parent,
-
Emp@tia portal – each of the applicants.
Family Minister Marlena Maląg informed that since July 1, when the call for applications started, applications for over 3.3 million children have been submitted. The benefit for over 2.4 million children has already been paid.
800+ with the president’s signature
President Andrzej Duda signed an amendment to the act that increases the 500 plus benefit to PLN 800. The higher amount will be paid from 1 January next year.
– I always think that you need to remember the 500+, because it is a change in the perception of the family. So far, PLN 230 billion has been transferred to families, which is concrete support. It’s not an expense, it’s an investment. It is the best investment of money, she also said. She reminded that the program had evolved, because in the first years (2016-2019) money was paid for the second and each subsequent child in the family. Only later did it cover all children up to the age of 18.
