Credit 0 percent The KO MP reveals possible criteria
We are working on a 0 percent loan – said Konrad Frysztak, vice-chairman of the KO club, in an interview with PAP. The MP revealed what the criteria will be for people interested in the program.
The Ministry of Development and Technology announced a week ago that the statutory total limit for 2023 and 2024 for subsidies to the “Safe 2% Credit” program has been exhausted. The program, launched in July last year, “will be replaced by another offer beneficial to borrowers.”
– Due to the exhaustion of the statutory total limit for 2023 and 2024 for subsidies to a safe loan of 2%, the Ministry of Development and Technology is conducting intensive work on a new formula for supporting borrowers – the Ministry of Development and Technology said in a statement.

The ministry announced that its goal is to make “the new instrument, on the one hand, more attractive to people with lower incomes and larger families, and, on the other hand, to limit its abuse by people whose high earnings allow them to obtain a loan in a regular market offer.” Another important assumption is “less pressure on the housing market and the associated impact on price increases, as well as precisely targeted state aid.”
Konrad Frysztak, vice-chairman of the Civic Coalition club, was asked today in the PAP Studio about the shape of the new program. The MP recalled that his party promised several components related to housing during the election campaign.
– We are already working on a 0 percent loan – said Frysztak. – The next one is money for local governments so that they can renovate their vacant buildings, municipal resources, but also rental subsidies and such three components will definitely be included in the project (act) we are working on – added.
Frysztak criticized the program “Safe loan of 2%”, stating that it was a “shell” that contained “too small funds for all interested parties to benefit from it”.
Asked about the criteria for people willing to use a 0% loan. the MP said that the basic criteria will certainly be the “age criterion” and the lack of current ownership of a flat or house. Frysztak noted that due to inflation, “we will definitely have to adjust the purchase value to current realities.”
– Currently, at the stage of work in the ministry, we will detail these provisions, but the first, most important ones were already known during the campaign and they will not change— said the politician.
