Witold Literacki became the new acting president of PKN Orlen. Earlier, a new supervisory board of the company was appointed.
The extraordinary general meeting of PKN Orlen was held today. During the meeting, the current members of the supervisory board were dismissed. The following people resigned from their positions: Wojciech Jasiński, Andrzej Szumański, Anna Wójcik, Barbara Jarzembowska, Andrzeja Kapała, Jadwiga Lesisz, Roman Kusz and Anna Sakowicz-Kacz. Over 70 percent were in favor of dismissing each member. voters.

It was decided that 10 people would sit on the new supervisory board, but one of the nominees (Janusz Woźniak) did not obtain a sufficient majority of votes. Wojciech Popiołek became the chairman. In addition to him, the council will include: Michał Gajdus, Ewa Gąsiorek, Katarzyna Łobos, Kazimierz Mordaszewski, Mikołaj Pietrzak, Ireneusz Sitarski, Tomasz Sójka and Tomasz Zieliński. The tenth position remains to be filled.
The company’s statute stipulates that the Orlen management board, elected by the supervisory board, may consist of five to 11 people. It consists of the president, vice-presidents and other members.
Witold Literacki became the acting president of PKN Orlen. According to Orlen, Literacki is a graduate of the University of Silesia, Faculty of Social Sciences, in 1994, and an MBA from the Lublin Business School in cooperation with the University of Central Lancashire in Great Britain in 2006. In the years 2022-2023, Literacki served as financial director at PERN SA. Previously (2020-2022) he was employed as financial director at Warszawskie Zakłady Mechaniczne PZL-WZM w Warszawie SA, in 2008-2020 he was director of the tax office at PKN Orlen SA
Literacki will temporarily replace Daniel Obajtek, who on February 1 made himself available to the council, which dismissed him from his position. – ORLEN SA (“Company”) informs that the Supervisory Board of the Company, after reviewing the letter of the President of the Management Board of ORLEN SA, Mr. Daniel Obajtek, in which he declared that he “puts himself at the disposal of the Supervisory Board in the scope of his function”, has decided to dismiss Mr. Daniel Obajtek from the Management Board of ORLEN SA as of February 5, 2024 – the announcement stated.
