Karol Urbanowicz from Trefl Gdańsk pointed to one of the best teams playing in PlusLiga. Strangely enough, these are neither Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle, nor Jastrzębski Węgiel, nor Asseco Resovia.
This season of PlusLiga is very unpredictable. Mainly because many clubs are struggling with personnel problems caused by injuries. Quite unexpectedly, Trefl Gdańsk is still in the lead, and after the triumph against PGE GiEK Skra Bełchatów on Tuesday evening, they even managed to climb to the top of the PlusLiga table.

Before the season, the president of Trefl Gdańsk, Dariusz Gadomski, informed in “Dziennik Bałtycki” that the greatest strength of his team would be the fact that they managed to keep a large part of the squad – 12 players. The Tri-City club is accused of providing great players to the richest PlusLiga clubs. This can even be proven by the transfer of Luke Perry, who after the season went to Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie.
After the last triumph against Skra, the Trefl Gdańsk volleyball players gained a lot of self-confidence. Karol Urbanowicz, who plays as a center, shared his thoughts about the team. – After the match in Bełchatów, I have these thoughts that all of our team are heading in the same direction. I think this is a very strong argument for us when it comes to winning games. We have a great atmosphere, great players, one of the best teams and the results so far show it, he said.
– On Saturday, I expect, first of all, many fans in the stands who will support us and carry us to victory. For our part, I can assure you that we will fight for every ball and to keep the points in Gdańsk – he added.

The players will be able to confirm these words in matches against the best PlusLiga teams. This statement will be verified even sooner than it seems, because on Saturday, November 18, the team from Gdańsk will play Projekt Warszawa, which – like them – has been on a very good streak since the beginning of the season.
– We expect a very difficult match. The design plays equally in every element. You will have to stand up to them very strongly to get points. On Saturday, we want to present the best volleyball possible and I hope that we will end the match victorious – said Mikołaj Sawicki.
