A new facility at the Polish airport. We don't have to be afraid of security checks

Security checks will no longer be a nightmare for tourists. Thanks to this convenience, we can easily send our luggage back home.

The airport in Katowice has good news for passengers departing from the Silesian airport. There is an Inpost parcel locker on the first floor of the Katowice Airport passenger terminal B, right next to the entrance to the security check. Travelers departing to countries from the Schengen area, in case of problems with prohibited items in their hand luggage, will be able to drop them straight to their door. Another Polish airport had already come up with the idea of installing a parcel locker.

Katowice International Airport. Wojciecha Korfantego in Pyrzowice has just been enriched with a new service that will satisfy all careless passengers. From now on, we don’t have to be afraid that a bottle of expensive perfume will be intercepted and thrown into the garbage – we can drop off items that are not allowed in hand luggage quickly and easily at the Inpost parcel locker located in Terminal B. The courier company offers the option of sending the parcel to another parcel locker or directly to your home. In the future, such a service may also be introduced in Terminal A, where passengers traveling outside the Schengen area depart.

Free cardboard and tape are available

“The possibility of sending items prohibited for carriage in hand luggage via Paczkomat® InPost is an important convenience for people traveling from Pyrzowice. I am convinced that this new service will be positively received by passengers,” said Artur Tomasik, president of the Management Board of Górnośląskie Towarzystwo Lotnicze SA, the manager of the Katowice airport.
