Ziobro appointed the director of the National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution. “Another Scandal”
Kamil Zaradkiewicz became the director of the National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution. The nomination is criticized by, among others: Krzysztof Kwiatkowski. “Shame” – said Kamila Gasiuk-Pihowicz.
On Friday, November 24, the deputy director of the National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution, Judge Robert Pelewicz, announced in a press release that, by decision of the same day, the Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobro had appointed a judge of the Supreme Court, Dr. Hab. Kamil Zaradkiewicz to serve as Director of the National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution.
Zaradkiewicz is employed as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw. He is also a member of the Scientific Research Committee of the WPiA Council of the University of Warsaw. In 2015, Zaradkiewicz received an award from the Prime Minister for “highly rated achievements which are the basis for awarding the academic degree of doctor habilitated”.
Who is Kamil Zaradkiewicz?
He also received the first prize for the dissertation which was the basis for awarding the degree of habilitated doctor in the 50th Jubilee Competition of the monthly “Państwo i Praw” 2015. Zaradkiewicz’s interests include constitutional rights and freedoms, property law and the law of new technologies (AI).
In 2013, as an employee of the Constitutional Tribunal, Zaradkiewicz came to the Constitutional Tribunal at night in pajamas and under the influence of drugs. Zaradkiewicz also served as acting First President of the Supreme Court for two weeks after the resignation of Małgorzata Gersdorf. Zaradkiewicz also became famous after the conflict with the former president of the Constitutional Tribunal, prof. Andrzej Rzepliński. His statement that the Constitutional Tribunal’s judgments are not always valid and final has gone down in history.
Politicians about the new director of the National School of Judiciary and Public Prosecution
“It went fast. The day before yesterday there was an opinion, and today there is information that Ziobro has appointed Zaradkiewicz as the director of KSSiP. In the official statement, not a word about accusations of mobbing, the pajama-mushroom scandal or being a neo-judge. PiS model for young prosecutors and judges. Disgrace,” wrote Kamila Gasiuk-Pihowicz. “To settle – both of them” – Leszek Balcerowicz replied to her.
“Another scandal – Z. Ziobro appointed a new director of the National School of the Judiciary for a five-year term. K. Zaradkiewicz did not appear at the meeting of the National Council of the Judiciary to answer our questions: did he commit mobbing as a superior at the Constitutional Tribunal? But he accepted the nominations,” commented Krzysztof Kwiatkowski.
