President Andrzej Duda appointed Katarzyna Sójka as the new Minister of Health. The PiS MP will replace the dismissed Adam Niedzielski in this position.

On Thursday, President Andrzej Duda appointed Katarzyna Sójka as the new Minister of Health.

I am very happy that you are an “ordinary doctor” internist who sees patients on a daily basis, works in a district hospital, clinics and knows what it means to work as an “ordinary doctor” in the field. He knows what the problems of an ordinary clinic are. This is of fundamental importance, said the president during his speech, after the new minister took the oath of office. – And the second compliment I heard at the minister, “people like her” – he added.

Katarzyna Sójka is the new Minister of Health

Law and Justice MP Katarzyna Sójka graduated from the Medical University in Poznań. He is a doctor by profession, a specialist in internal medicine. She worked in hospitals in Ostrów Wielkopolski, where she was born, and in Kępno. She also worked in clinics in Mikstat and Ostrzeszów. Katarzyna Sójka is also an engineer-forester. She graduated from the Poznań University of Life Sciences. Privately, he has three children. In 2018, starting from the lists of Law and Justice, she was elected a councilor of the Ostrzeszów poviat, where she became vice-president.

A year later, Katarzyna Sójka took part in the elections to the Sejm. She obtained a mandate starting from the 10th position in the Kalisz district. 15,860 people voted for it. During the current term of office, he has made 24 speeches at sessions of the Sejm. Katarzyna Sójka submitted 25 interpellations, two questions and eight questions on current matters, which were put into motion. As for the health committee, in 2022 it submitted only five interpellations.

Katarzyna Sójka will replace the dismissed minister Adam Niedzielski. The minister said goodbye to his function due to his reaction to the TVN material about problems with issuing e-prescriptions. Doctor Piotr Pisula, the city hospital in Poznań, yesterday on Fakty TVN: “No patient could issue such a prescription”. We checked.
