During his visit to the USA, the President of Poland also met Donald Trump, and the event was loudly commented not only in the Polish media. The topic was also picked up by foreign titles. Before the dinner with the former president of the United States, Andrzej Duda emphasized that it was a “completely private visit, a private invitation.”
– If it were a private meeting, the president would go there with his wife, and not with the ministers of his office – commented Radosław Sikorski on TVN24. – But the fact that they talked about Ukraine and other important issues is good. I talked to the president before his departure to the United States and, with the authorization of the Council of Ministers, I asked him to raise these issues with President Trump, continued the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

We show that we can act together on the most important issues for Poland, emphasized Radosław Sikorski in the “Kropka nad i” program.

He has exceptional reasons to be satisfied with this meeting, said Radosław Sikorski, emphasizing that one day Donald Trump had to explain himself in court, and in a short space of time he received the sitting president of a medium-sized country. – I think that if Donald Trump were to win (US presidential elections – ed.), President Duda would score points – summed up the head of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
