PKO Bank Polski continues its commitment to the energy transformation

PKO Bank Polski is financing another project of the R.Power company – this time it is the construction of photovoltaic farms with a total capacity of approx. 59 MW. The value of financing provided by PKO Bank Polski is approximately PLN 190 million and includes, among others: investment loan, working capital loan for VAT and bank guarantee to secure the PPA. The bank consistently supports the energy transformation of the economy by offering attractive forms of financing.

– This is another project of R.Power in the financing of which we participate. Thanks to such investments, the share of renewable energy in the national energy mix will increase, which is beneficial for both the environment and the economy. Our role as a leader in the banking sector is to financially support the energy transformation, which still requires large investments. This is one of the elements of PKO Bank Polski's strategy on which we place great emphasis, says Marcin Majewski, director of the Corporate Customer and Enterprise Relations Division at PKO Bank Polski.

– The signed agreement is not only a step forward in our cooperation, but also a confirmation of trust in our vision of development. Thanks to our partnership, we can continue the development of photovoltaic projects, while contributing to the construction of effective energy infrastructure in Poland – said Tomasz Sęk, COO and co-founder of R.Power.

Supporting ESG transformation is one of the pillars of PKO Bank Polski's strategy for 2023-2025. In 2023, the PKO Bank Polski Group provided companies with new financing supporting sustainable and transformational projects (including renewable energy projects) in the amount of PLN 2.2 billion.
