Morawiecki in Świdnik: Today we can repair the Polish army
Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki visited Świdnik during a campaign tour of the country. He visited employees of helicopter production plants and then met with the city’s residents.
The next day of the election campaign is marked by meetings of political party leaders with citizens. Rafał Trzaskowski was in Szczecin, and Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki met with the residents of Świdnik.
More money for armaments
While in Świdnik, where there is a very famous helicopter factory, the Prime Minister used the opportunity to talk about military spending. The head of government mentioned the huge expenditure on the purchase of new weapons for the Polish army. He also used a comparison with the financing for this purpose during the PO-PSL government.
– Not far from here, we have increased the production of Polish Crabs. While in Świdnik, I would like to particularly emphasize that also here we have recently hired 500 new employees to handle the new order. Our 32 new AW149 helicopters for the Polish army – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
– Today we are spending not PLN 37 billion on the Polish army, as in the times of the Civic Platform, but PLN 137 billion, and next year it will be over PLN 150 billion. This is possible because the PiS government repaired the budget left by the Civic Platform, which was as leaky as Swiss cheese, this gigantic budget gap – the prime minister listed.
Morawiecki on the “budget black hole”
The Prime Minister pointed out that the increase in military spending was possible primarily thanks to dealing with the public finance debt.
– Today we can repair the Polish army, recreate units, buy new weapons abroad, increase production in Stalowa Wola, Siemianowice, here in Świdnik, in Mielec and many other places in Poland. The army is actually becoming stronger, and in a few years it will be the strongest land army in Europe – emphasized the Prime Minister. Phe also said that “The PiS government has done a lot to fill the black hole in the budget after the government of the Civic Platform”.
