Minister on the housing problem. It indicates three elements
One program will not solve the housing problem in Poland, said Minister of Development and Technology Krzysztof Hetman on TVN24. In his opinion, three elements are necessary.
On Friday, the Minister of Development and Technology Krzysztof Hetman was a guest of the “One on One” program on TVN24. One of the topics of the conversation were the problems on the housing market in Poland. The Minister emphasized that one program would not be able to solve the housing problem in Poland. In his opinion, it is necessary to three elements.
Hetman on the housing problem
– The first element is support for social housing, the project is already on the government's list of legislative works. This is support for TBSs, for cooperatives – said the head of the Ministry of Development and Technology.
As the second element, Hetman indicated the so-called loan 0 percent – This is a program for people who would actually like to own apartments, but do not meet today's bank criteria. This program is very focused on families with children, the interest rate will depend on the number of children in the family – reminded the minister.
Speaking about the thresholds provided for in the program, the TVN24 guest emphasized that they result from drawing conclusions from the operation of the Safe Credit 2% program, introduced by the previous team. – In the case of this program, we had a situation where 30 percent people could easily take a normal bank loan and did not have to apply for the 2%. So they actually took away support from those who needed it – Hetman assessed.
The third element is the issue of supply market. – It's about the number of apartments being built and available for sale – said the Minister of Development and Technology.
Hetman emphasized that this week he received a project from his colleagues regarding deregulation in order to “unlock the supply market, because we have a problem with it, not with the demand issue, because it is huge, but with the supply one.”
