What's next for Izera? There is consent to build the plant
The future of Izera, a Polish electrician, is still uncertain and depends on politicians' decisions. On May 9, 2024, the mayor of Jaworzno issued a permit for the construction of a production plant for Izera electric cars in the Jaworzno Economic Area. Obtaining a permit to build a factory formally enables construction work to begin.
If nothing changes, then (according to the ElectroMobility Poland announcement) the plant will be built in two stages with a maximum annual production capacity of 300,000. cars. The permit was issued for the first stage, the development area of which will be 169,000. m2. The factory will be a highly automated plant, which will allow for the effective and innovative production of electric cars. By the end of 2026, the factory may employ 2,000 people. The Izera Factory will be the first investment in the Jaworzniki Economic Area.
Let us remind you that the issuance of a building permit was preceded by ElectroMobility Poland obtaining, on January 30, 2024, a decision from the mayor of Dąbrowa Górnicza on the environmental conditions for the project. At the same time, the process of verifying the technical, business, legal and other assumptions regarding the current operations of ElectroMobility Poland was also completed. The audit results were submitted to the company's supervisory authorities.
