Hołownia radically changed his mind regarding CPK. "I verify my view"

Szymon Hołownia informed that he had changed his view on the construction of the CPK. – I see how important this is in terms of aspirations for many Poles – said the Speaker of the Sejm at a press conference. He also announced a special platform that will enable citizens to participate in consultations on parliamentary bills.

Szymon Hołownia raised several important topics during Wednesday's press conference in the Sejm. He not only referred to the reconstruction of the government announced by Donald Tusk, but also announced the completion of a certain stage in the Sejm.

Hołownia about CPK: I considered it a megalomaniacal project

– We should talk about it today that we are inviting Poles not only to hold PiS accountable, but also to invite them to a common adventure, to hope, to a vision with which we are moving forward strongly, announced the Speaker of the Sejm at a press conference. – I hope that this will be our message that we will all agree on and go together, because Poles need someone to go with them somewhere, to a good place, and not just show that things have been bad for 8 years – he added.

Szymon Hołownia also commented on the issue of building the Central Communication Port. Let us recall that back in October he publicly expressed very serious doubts about this project.

– As you know, I was a sworn opponent of the construction of the CPK, I considered it a megalomaniacal project and another opportunity to save money somewhere and kill the rabbit's relatives and friends – Hołownia said in the Sejm on Wednesday. – Today, when I see how this project could be carried out, i.e. without those absurd spokes that tore apart people's houses, that destroyed the urban fabric, that passed through the center of the botanical gardens, that simply destroyed what we had developed together, it can be done can be done without putting money on your hands, you can think about how to carry it out in such a way that it actually serves the Polish economy. Also, when I see how important it is for many Poles to aspire to have such an airport, I verify my view and believe that we should give this investment a chance if it is well prepared and well done – he emphasized.

“We are opening this consultation process to the public and citizens.”

Hołownia also announced changes in the legislative procedure.

– These will be changes that milestones require of us, but also changes that we want to introduce ourselves, for example by creating a special platform that will enable every citizen, using a trusted profile, to participate in consultations on the law that is passed in the Sejm – announced the Speaker of the Sejm.

The Leader of Poland 2050 emphasized the opening of the consultation process to the public and citizens. – There will be a completely public process for submitting amendments, even at the committee level. Each amendment will have to be recorded immediately online, by whom it was submitted and what it concerned, he said. – The Sejm wants to end the practice of making amendments to pieces of paper where it is not fully known who submitted them and why they did it at the last minute – he added, probably referring, among other things, to to the famous windmill amendment submitted by Marek Suski in the previous term.
