Biden's jokes during a meeting with the media. “I'm running against a 6-year-old.”

During the White House Correspondents' Dinner, President Joe Biden joked about his age, his rival and the scandal caused by Republican Lauren Boebert.

The meeting with the president, who will seek re-election, took place on Saturday evening. Joe Biden spoke before a crowd of nearly 3,000 journalists and celebrities at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C., while hundreds of anti-Israel protesters gathered outside.

Biden on Trump: My vice president supports me

– Of course, age matters. I'm a grown man and I'm running against a 6-year-old, said 81-year-old Biden, referring to comments about his age and his rival, 77-year-old Donald Trump. – Age is the only thing that unites us; my vice president actually supports me! – he added, referring to Mike Pence, who refused to support his former boss in the wake of the storming of the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Biden referred to Trump's ongoing “Stormy Weather” trial (reference to Stormy Daniels -ed.).

“Donald has had a rough few days lately – you could call it stormy weather,” he mocked the trial.

He also joked about his opponent's strange, convoluted speech in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, in which he recalled a Civil War battle.

“Trump's speech was so embarrassing that the Robert E. Lee statue came down again,” he said.

Biden also mentioned Republican Lauren Boebert, who was fired from the musical “Beetlejuice” in September for indecent behavior with her partner. – We are here to remind you that people think that what is happening in Congress is political theater. It's not true. If Congress were a theater, they would have fired Lauren Boebert a long time ago, he said.

According to a poll conducted in March, in a head-to-head presidential election, 48 percent of U.S. voters would like Joe Biden to be re-elected, and 45 percent would vote for former President Donald Trump.
