Andrzej Duda met with the President of Slovenia. “No serious contentious topics”
Andrzej Duda met with the President of Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar. During joint talks, they raised the issue of assistance to Ukraine and the Polish presidency of the EU. They also assured of the lack of “serious controversial topics”.
Andrzej Duda and his wife Agata Kornhauser-Duda went on an official visit to Slovenia. After the meeting with President Nataša Pirc Musar, the head of the Polish state took part in a joint press conference during which the course of the talks was summarized.

– We talked about the security situation in Europe and around the world. Both countries strive to restore peace and will support Ukraine as long as necessary, said President Musar. She also informed that during the meeting they also discussed next year's Polish presidency of the Council of the European Union.
– I am glad that Poland, like Slovenia, supports the expansion of the European Union to include the countries of the Eastern Balkans and Bosnia and Herzegovina. We expect that the EU Council will give the green light for accession talks, she admitted. She also emphasized that Warsaw and Ljubljana are united not only by consistent views on the most important issues, but also by mutual solidarity.

Andrzej Duda also expressed satisfaction with the talks and revealed that his visit to Slovenia had been previously postponed several times due to the political situation, including the conflict in Ukraine. However, he assured that after the meeting he was convinced that there were “no serious controversial issues” between the countries.
– If we discuss each other, even if we have different opinions, when it comes to current issues discussed at the NATO or European Union level, we are friendly countries (…) that pursue a coherent policy, said the president.
On Thursday, March 21, representatives of both countries will take part in the Polish-Slovenian business forum. During the event dedicated to the ICT industry and cybersecurity, they will focus on regional cooperation under the Three Seas Initiative.
