Almost 1,500 apartments for Wrocław as part of Mieszkanie Plus. The final stage of the competition is starting
BGK Nieruchomości has selected 17 companies that have advanced to the final stage of the competition to design three housing estates in Wrocław, which it will build as part of the government’s Mieszkanie Plus program. In total, almost 1,500 apartments will be built there.
Architectural competitions for housing estates in Wrocław as part of the Mieszkanie Plus program are entering a decisive phase. The winners will be selected from among 17 studios selected in the earlier stages, who will design housing estates at Kolejowa, Hermanowska and Białowieska streets. As we read in the announcement – The aim of the competitions is to develop architectural and urban concepts for multi-family housing estates with services and underground garages. As part of the project, participants must also present a proposal for the development of areas with public, recreational and communication functions.
– There was huge interest in the competition. From nearly 70 applications in three competitions, we selected 17 studios that have a chance to win the main prize, i.e. designing housing estates in the government’s Mieszkanie Plus program. I am pleased that among the architects qualified for the next stage there are studios not only from Wrocław, but also from Krakow and Warsaw. This shows that the best designers from all over Poland want to cooperate with us as part of the Mieszkanie Plus program. – said Grzegorz Muszyński, vice-president of BGK Nieruchomości.
The plot at Kolejowa Street has an area of 20,000. m. Analyzes show that up to 460 premises may be built there. At Hermanowska Street, 95,000 sq m will be available to architects. sq m. Up to 650 apartments will be built here. On the last plot covered by the competition – at ul. Białowieska – BGK Nieruchomości will provide a plot of 20,000 m2. sq m, where 350 apartments are expected to be built.
