– Working talks between representatives of the General Staff of the Polish Army and the Federal Republic of Germany begin tomorrow – said the head of the Ministry of National Defense. Kosiniak-Kamysz admitted that for now it is difficult to talk about the costs of the European air defense initiative, because ESSI is still developing. – And it's not about purchasing any systems from the Germans, it's about the interoperability of our systems – said the Minister of National Defense.

Kosiniak-Kamysz talked about Germany's purchase of a ballistic missile defense system. – I think it would be very good if we could also use it. I would like the Polish arms industry to benefit from joining this initiative and be able to sell, for example, reconnaissance systems related to radar location – explained the Deputy Prime Minister.

Deputy Prime Minister on Poland's joining ESSI. “It was only about PiS phobias”

The head of the Ministry of National Defense emphasized that all countries of NATO's eastern flank, except Poland, joined the European air defense initiative. – It was just about the phobias of our predecessors. They didn't want to because the Germans invented it – explained Kosiniak-Kamysz. The Minister of National Defense noted that ESSI has the support of the North Atlantic Alliance and Great Britain is participating in the initiative.

The Deputy Prime Minister referred in this context to Iran's attack on Israel. – If we are alone, we will not be able to build the system we would like, which would give us the greatest security – concluded Kosiniak-Kamysz.
