Road engineers inform that work has started on the section of the S19 Haćki – Bielsk Podlaski expressway. This is the first part of the Via Carpatia international transport corridor implemented in the Podlaskie Voivodeship.
The Via Carpatia route connecting Northern and Southern Europe in Poland will be approximately 700 km long. The road will run through 5 voivodeships: Podlaskie, Warmian-Masurian, Masovian, Lublin and Podkarpackie. The Via Carpatia corridor in Poland includes sections of the S61, S16 and S19 expressways.
The section of S19 Haćki-Bielsk Podlaski is 9 km long
We recently informed about plans to expand the S19 road in the province. Podkarpackie, and today, through GDDKiA, we share news regarding the construction of the S19 expressway in the province. Podlasie. Work has just started on the 9-kilometer section of S19 Haćki – Bielsk Podlaski. As part of the construction, there will be a dual carriageway S19 expressway and a single carriageway section of DK66 – a connector to the existing DK19.
“The construction of the first section of the Via Carpatia route between Białystok and Lublin has started. This is good news for the inhabitants of the province. Podlasie and Lublin, and for all those who wish Poland well and want its rapid and harmonious development.– said Minister of Infrastructure Andrzej Adamczyk.
According to road engineers, the contractor of the S19 Haćki – Bielsk Podlaski section is Budimex. The investment value is PLN 325.9 million. The completion date of the work is scheduled for the third quarter of 2025.
