Top 10 best-selling smartphones in 2023. Apple dominated the ranking

The analytical company Counterpoint has published a ranking of the 10 best-selling smartphones in 2023. We are dealing with a very interesting situation in which as many as the first seven places in the ranking are occupied by iPhone models from Apple. The last three places in the ranking belong to Samsung devices, but they are not the flagship and therefore the most expensive smartphone models of the Korean manufacturer.

Top 10 best-selling smartphones of 2023

As you can see in the image attached above, in 2023 the best-selling smartphone in the world was definitely the iPhone 14, with a global market share of 3.9%. The next two places were taken by iPhone 14 Pro Max (2.8%) and iPhone 14 Pro (2.4%). As it turned out, Apple dominated not only the entire podium, but also the top seven places in this ranking.

This shows the total dominance of the American giant over its biggest competitor, Samsung. In 2023, Koreans had to be content with the three smallest pieces of the cake and what's more – their most popular smartphones in global terms are not the newest and most expensive flagships, but three budget models that are very popular in developing countries. The 8th, 9th and 10th places in the ranking are taken by: Galaxy A14 5G (bestseller in India), Galaxy A04e and Galaxy A14 4G (popular in Brazil, India, Mexico and Indonesia).

This is more or less what the ranking of the 10 best-selling smartphones in 2023 looks like. It was marked by the absolute domination of the iPhone and so far there is no indication that this will change in 2024.
