This point of the coalition agreement will be given priority. Announcing Czarzasty
Włodzimierz Czarzasty announced that the draft law on in vitro will be one of the first to be introduced to the Sejm.
Włodzimierz Czarzasty was asked in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24 about the next steps of the new coalition.
– I don’t think I’ll reveal too much of a secret. We will try to introduce one of the civic projects in the near future because we respect them. For example, a project to which none of the four parties has any comments. We want to immediately solve the issue of in vitro, also an element of the program of our formations. We will take care of it, said the co-chairman of the New Left in “Fakty po Faktach”.
The project on in vitro is to be returned to the Sejm
Financing the in vitro procedure was one of the elements of the coalition agreement between KO, Third Way and the Left.
“We will invalidate the judgment of the Constitutional Tribunal from 2020. Women have the right to decide for themselves. The state will provide special support for couples planning parenthood by financing the in vitro procedure and full access to free prenatal tests. We will ensure the implementation of modern standards of perinatal care. Access to free anesthesia will be the rule, not the exception,” we read.
During the election campaign, the leader of the Civic Platform, Donald Tusk, repeatedly assured voters that his government would allocate at least PLN 500 million to finance the in vitro procedure.
The topic of reimbursement of infertility treatment through in vitro fertilization was also announced by the Third Way. – We will fight for financing in vitro from the state budget, to ensure that the care of pregnant women is of a good, high standard and that childbirth takes place without pain – said Marta Cienkowska from Poland 2050 at the Third Way “Women Forward” convention.
