The King of Denmark is already in Poland. This is his first visit abroad. “This is a very important signal”
King Frederick X of Denmark appeared at the Presidential Palace. “This is the first foreign visit of King Frederick X,” which is “an important signal,” said Mieszko Pawlak.
The new King of Denmark, Frederick X (he became king after the abdication of Margaret II) has just arrived at the Presidential Palace. He chose Poland as the destination of his first foreign visit and will stay here for three days – until February 2.
The king was welcomed by the president in the Courtyard of the Presidential Palace
On January 30, before being welcomed in the Courtyard of the Presidential Palace by Andrzej Duda, he participated in the opening of the Business Forum. In the morning, he took part in a closed meeting in the White Hall with the president – after which they both went to breakfast together, given in honor of the king.
In the afternoon, the king is to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Then he will go to a meeting with the Speaker of the Sejm, Szymon Hołownia, and later – with the Speaker of the Senate, Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska.
Later in the day, he will participate in the ceremony of signing an agreement on energy efficiency – we read in the schedule for January 31. Then in the round table “Climate Friendly Agriculture & Biogas”.
At the end of the day – this time in honor of the president – King Frederick X will host dinner.
What is the nature of Frederick X’s visit to Poland?
The head of the Presidential Office of International Policy, Mieszko Pawlak, estimates that the first foreign visit of the King of Denmark to Poland is an important signal in the context of cooperation “in ensuring Poland’s energy security,” the Polish Press Agency quotes the head of BPM.
